Esther Boesche, based in New York City, creates conceptual art that explores identity, societal norms, and the unseen forces shaping collective and personal lives. Influenced by her upbringing in Northern Germany’s nature, her work balances tranquility and urban energy. Boesche employs photography, drawing, sculpture, installation, and text art to examine authenticity and self-expression within cultural systems. Her practice urges viewers to reconnect with their deeper selves and navigate cultural norms and identity in the digital and AI age. With a BA from Muthesius School of Fine Arts and an MFA from ICP-BARD College, her internationally exhibited work has earned accolades like the DAAD fellowship and a FAPA Prize nomination.
